India is looking to get off to a good start to their push for a first T20 World Cup title since 2007. MS Dhoni, who was captain of the team that won the inaugural title, seems to be in the thick of the preparations. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared photos of Dhoni. He is part of the Indian setup for the 2021 T20 World Cup as a mentor, giving throwdowns to the Indian batters.

Dhoni was appointed in the new role. Just before the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup this announcement by the BCCI last month. He recently led Chennai Super Kings to complete a remarkable comeback in IPL 2021. They won their 4th title in their 9th final after missing out on the play-offs berth for the first time in their history last year in the UAE.
India will later face England on Monday and Australia on Wednesday in their two warm-up matches before the Super 12 stages.
